Question 1

Is the first meeting free?

Accepted Answer

The first meeting is simply a conversation — a chance for us to understand your situation, answer your questions, and see whether working together makes sense. There's no pressure and no obligation attached to it.

Question 2

Who do you work with?

Accepted Answer

I work with young professionals, families, nurses and healthcare professionals, self-employed professionals, small business owners, incorporated professionals, newcomers building their financial life in Canada, and people approaching retirement. I'm licensed in Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, and I work with people across Canada.

Question 3

Do you only help with insurance?

Accepted Answer

No. Insurance is one piece of the picture. I also help with financial planning, investments and wealth building, retirement planning, business and corporate planning, and estate and legacy considerations — and more importantly, how all of those pieces fit together.

Question 4

Do you help with investments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. That includes accounts like TFSAs, RRSPs, FHSAs, RESPs, and non-registered investments, structured around your goals, timeline, and comfort with risk — always as part of a broader plan rather than in isolation.

Question 5

Can you help business owners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For business owners and incorporated professionals, personal and corporate finances need to work together. We can look at corporate investments, insurance strategies, succession considerations, and tax-efficient planning, coordinated with your accountant or other professionals where needed.

Question 6

Do I need to have a lot of money before working with a financial professional?

Accepted Answer

No. Good planning matters at every stage — whether you're just starting out, growing a family, or preparing for retirement. The earlier you understand how the pieces fit together, the more options you tend to have.

Question 7

What happens during the first meeting?

Accepted Answer

It's a relaxed conversation. We'll talk about where you are today, what you're working toward, and what's on your mind. I'll explain anything relevant in plain English, and you'll leave with a clearer picture of your situation and possible next steps.

Question 8

Do I need to buy something during the meeting?

Accepted Answer

No. There's never an obligation to buy anything. The goal of our conversations is education and clarity first — any decisions happen on your timeline, when you're comfortable.
